Ethics and Leadership Development

Question: Discuss about theEthics and Leadership Development. Answer: Introduction: The approval of the flagship project is dependent on the final approval by the concerned authorities. The law clearly states that only shutters with the fire code may be used in certain areas of the district and the project by Heisei homes falls within the parameters where the use of the fire safety shutters is mandatory. While a small cheating by Kawamura can help the company clear the project within the specified timelines and meet all deadlines on schedule, it is a huge risk for the company that has done much for Kawamura. Kawamura is now facing a moral and ethical dilemma. By allowing the project to continue as it is he would help ensure that the company meets its proposed deadlines for handover of the homes to the owners. However, this decision would be against the ethics of the company and would tarnish the brand image that has been build over a long time period. While meeting the proposed timelines is essential to ensure the success of the project and reaffirm the viability of Heisei Homes, the safety of the clients is intrinsic to the motto of the company. As Kawamura, I would allow the proposed buildings to be completed on schedule, but would schedule a special maintenance check within a month of the handing over as a special consideration, during which I would replace the fire shutters with the standardized ones. I would explain this as a case as a precautionary measure against material damage or redundancy seen in some random pieces from the same consignment. This would ensure that both the timeline and safety measures are met by the company. Although the company would incur some costs in the replacement, the trust that has been painstakingly build up among the local community would be safeguarded, and all issues would be addressed much before matters get out of hand. I also need to ensure that these matters are completed in the strictes t possible privacy. Mr. Siatos moral and values reflects his ideology that no man is an island. Just as individual growth is dependent o the growth of the team, similarly, the growth of industries are linked to the growth of complementary industries, subsidiaries and affiliates as well as the employees within the organization. All actions by Mr. Siato and his company Iwaki Die casts works on the principle that trust and welfare of dependents is paramount for success in any field. A look at the trust and esteem bestowed on Mr. Saito clearly reflect the importance he places on the macro picture. He believes that the welfare of all perso0ns who have placed their trust in him must be ensured even if the company may have to cut down on their profits. He also believes that by ensuring the welfare of all parties connected with him, he is actually protecting the interest of his company in the long term. His ideology can be summed by as trust once broken cannot be replaced.
